John Faganel built his first home in Elmhurst in 1929.  Following in his father's footsteps, Robert A. Faganel started building custom homes in the 1950s.

In 1964 R.A. Faganel Builders was incorporated, and in the ensuing years, the company has built over 4,500 custom-crafted, single-family and multi-family home in many prestigious locations in the western suburbs of Chicagoland.

In 1989 Robert's son, the current President of Faganel Builders, David Faganel, joined the firm after spending eight years in Denver, where he headed his own development and custom home building company.

The path to success for Faganel Builders is perhaps best summed up by David's father.  "Building value into our homes is not altogether altruistic," founder Robert Faganel says, "since a large percentage of our business over the years has come from repeat customers and referrals."
